Qualifications:

• Valid Class A
• Having over one year of commercial driver's license (CDL) experience is advantageous
• The requirement entails having six months of recent flatbed experience within the last three years
• Truck Models from 2014 or Later

COMPANY HISTORY

Baggett Transportation Company was established by Jess Baggett in Birmingham in 1928, primarily handling the transportation of dynamite for local coal companies. In the 1930s, William Sellers joined forces with Baggett, acquiring a small stake in the company. Throughout World War II, Baggett was enlisted by the Department of War to assist in transporting munitions. Sellers eventually took full ownership of the company and gradually transformed it into a prominent transportation enterprise. Apart from moving explosives and munitions for commercial clients and the rebranded Department of Defense, Baggett also catered to the less-than-truckload (LTL) business in Alabama and other parts of the Southeast. In 1976, the LTL division was divested, and Baggett transitioned into a truckload carrier, with a specific focus on servicing the Department of Defense and commercial clientele. Presently under the helm of the third generation of family ownership, Baggett continues to uphold the founding business principles of Mr. Sellers while steadfastly investing in the necessary services and technologies for future growth and evolution.
