Since its founding in 1960 by a couple of farmers, Rural King has grown into a family-run business with a network of 130 stores in 13 states. The dispatch of shipments mainly occurs from Mattoon, IL, and Waverly, Ohio, to cater to the transportation of no-touch freight to our stores spread across 13 states.

STIPEND - Excluding any additional safety bonus

• As of April 2nd, the reimbursement per mile will be 0.56 cents
• - Drivers who maintain safe practices are eligible for a safety bonus of three cents per mile, paid out every quarter

• You will be eligible for enrollment in our 401(k) plan after you meet the tenure requirements 90 days with Rural King and at least 1,000 worked hours. Rural King will match 100% of your contributtions to the 401(k) plan up to 3% of you earnings and 50% of your contributions up to the next 2% of your earnings. There is no waiting period for rollovers from other qualified plans into the Rural King 401(k) plan.
• In your initial year, you will have the chance to take a two-week vacation

QUALIFICATIONS

• A valid CDL is a vital requirement for the role
• Minimum 1+ years proven experience in commercial truck driving preferred
• Adherence to the protocols of a background verification, DOT drug screening, and DOT physical exam is pivotal for employment consideration
• A driving record showing no instances of moving violations occurring in the past 13 months
• Demonstrate exceptional stamina and focus while enduring prolonged periods of driving
• Hands-on experience with well-known electronic logging devices and software, such as GPS, Peoplenet, and Qualcomm
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
• Possessing the adaptability and proactive approach required to deal with unexpected situations such as traffic congestion or adverse weather
• Committed to participating in background and drug checks and furnishing employment referrals
