Requirements

• Age requirement is set at a minimum of 21 years
• Meet the requirements of a Ryder drug screening
• Fulfill the criteria of passing a comprehensive Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including verifying drug and alcohol records from prior employers over the last three years
• Complete a DOT physical assessment
• Qualify for passing the Ryder road evaluation
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Previous employment history should include proven expertise in handling a tractor trailer or similar large vehicle under Class A standards:
• Within the last 3 years, a minimum of 9 months of experience is necessary
• At least 2 years of practical experience in the last 5 years, OR
• An accumulated 5 years of expertise in the past decade
• Aptitude for complying with written or oral commands
• The capacity to understand, decipher, and enforce laws, regulations, and policies

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that operations align with the stipulations of federal and state laws, regulations, and agency guidelines
• Discovering and diminishing safety threats while keeping precise logs and reports
• Offering assistance with loading/unloading activities as per customer's needs
• Undertakes supplementary duties as instructed
