Requirements

• The minimum age expectation is 21 years
• Successfully navigate a Ryder drug screening
• Satisfactorily complete a Ryder background and motor vehicle verification and provide evidence of drug and alcohol adherence from former employers over the last three years
• Obtain authorization for a DOT physical evaluation
• Obtain a positive result in the Ryder road evaluation
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Meeting the requirement entails having concrete experience in operating a tractor trailer or a vehicle of similar size and classification at a Class A level:
• months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• At least 2 years of recent job experience within the last 5 years
• Recent 5-year experience within the last 10 years
• Competence in comprehending and following written or verbal instructions
• Skillful in reading, interpreting, and applying rules, regulations, and laws

Responsibilities

• Validating compliance with pertinent federal and state laws, regulations, and agency directives
• Detecting and reducing safety dangers while ensuring the accuracy of documentation
• Assisting with loading or unloading cargo based on customer preferences
• Undertakes supplementary responsibilities as mandated
