Requirements

• The minimum age for eligibility is 21 years
• Pass a drug test with Ryder
• Satisfactorily undergo a Ryder background and motor vehicle inspection and present proof of drug and alcohol compliance from previous employers within the last three years
• Pass the required DOT physical exam
• Achieve a satisfactory outcome in the Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• A history of verifiable Class A level experience in driving tractor trailers or similar vehicles is mandatory:
• A total of 9 months of experience within the previous 3 years is expected
• years of applicable experience within the last 5 years, OR
• A track record of 5 years' involvement in the most recent decade
• Competence in following written or spoken orders
• The capability to grasp, interpret, and implement policies and procedures

Responsibilities

• Securing adherence to applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and agency policies
• Detecting and addressing risks to safety, along with the upkeep of detailed records
• Assisting in loading/unloading responsibilities based on customer requirements
